Building relationships in

What Is Tundra Trails?

Real relationships, built on real trails — and open to anyone, anywhere.

Tundra Trails is a low-key gathering series for founders and funders who would rather build genuine relationships than collect business cards. No pitching, no name tags, no agenda beyond good company and honest conversation about what people are building and funding.

It shows up two ways: in person, on the beautiful trails of the San Francisco Peninsula, and virtually, through candid virtual events where VCs share the insider knowledge that usually stays behind closed doors.

We have a warm standing welcome for founders and funders from outside the usual startup hubs — because Tundra was built to help founders from everywhere else compete in Silicon Valley.

Where you'll hike
Ocean waves breaking over rocky reefs beneath the eroded bluffs and green bluff-top trail of the Half Moon Bay coast
Coastal Bluffs
Sunlight filtering through towering redwoods above a green fern-covered forest floor
Redwood Groves
A sweeping hilltop panorama of rolling green forested hills fading into distant ridges under a wide cloudy sky
Valley Overlooks

Who I Work With
Amanda Heyman

Helping domain experts raise their first round.

I'm Amanda Heyman, a startup lawyer, former venture-backed founder, and Founding Managing Partner of Tundra Ventures. Tundra Trails is the front porch of Tundra's advisory practice — where I get to meet founders and funders before we ever talk about working together.

Tundra's advisory work helps domain-expert founders (doctors, scientists, engineers, finance professionals) raise their first round of capital, with a special focus on helping founders outside Silicon Valley compete in Silicon Valley. If a conversation on the trail turns into wanting a hand with your raise, here's how we can go deeper:

Registering for a Tundra Trails event also adds you to Icebreaker, our newsletter for early-stage founders. Unsubscribe anytime, no hard feelings.
